FUNdamentals of Quilting - The name says it all! This course is a series of four classes where the students will learn the basic characteristics of fabric, how to identify classic quilt block patterns, practice how to construct various quilt blocks, and most importantly, how to enjoy the creative process. The goal of the class is to give students the skills they need to identify the building blocks of a quilt, and practice the skills needed to create their own projects. While this is a class based on concepts, students have the option to combine the class samples into a lap quilt, or leave the samples ‘as is’ to use for future reference. The sample quilt in the store was designed and made by the instructor, Barbara Dickie.
