It's summer at
Serge & Sew!!!
They say time flies when you are having fun so we must be having a ball! The days are slipping by so quickly & summer has arrived with lots of travelers and tourists.
SERGE & SEW was hopping with the 3rd Vancouver Island Shop Hop -The 5 Day Island Dash. Congratulations to all participants! It was nice to meet so many new faces! The lucky winner of the SERGE & SEW quilting tote filled with all kinds of terrific goodies was Judy Hilts. See pictures of our Shop Hop display elsewhere on the website.
Congratulations also go to Florence Peel of Qualicum Beach who was the winner of the SERGE & SEW prize, a Pfaff Smart Embellisher at the Parksville 'SEASONS by the SEA' Quilt Festival.
We have been delighted to the response to the TRUNK SHOW from Alaskan quilt designer Lisa Moore of Quilts with a Twist. Lisa's quilts are particularly relevant to those of us living in BC, as she cleverly reflects our wildlife in her patterns. We also have a new line of beautiful wildlife patterns from Shania Sunga of Victoria.
July promises to be another busy month!
This years Border Creek Crossing Mystery Quilt program is finished! We are celebrating with a Reveal Party on July 11th from 1-3pm! Drop in to see what the Mystery gals have been up to for the last seven months! Congratulations to Lavonne Holmes who was the first quilter to bring in her gorgeous mystery quilt top!

Gladys Love, author of "Embellishing with Anything", will treat us to a TRUNK SHOW, DEMOS and TIPS. Gladys is a delightful speaker and is full of wonderful ideas for creatively decorating your quilts.
